South Georgia is known for its friendly people, beautiful landscapes and welcoming weather. Unfortunately, we are also known for our high cancer rates and high number of deaths from cancer. The Cancer Coalition of South Georgia came to be in response to the many people in south Georgia who are worried about being diagnosed with cancer, or about how they will have cancer taken care of if it is found.
A nonprofit organization, we work with local cancer centers and hospitals, concerned citizens, community groups, universities, businesses, faith-based organizations and government agencies to bring the highest quality cancer resources to our region.

Our motto is real. The Cancer Coalition's mission, projects and funding are all focused completely on south Georgia. Our goal is to ensure more people learn about cancer and receive the services they need so fewer of our family, friends and neighbors are affected by this frightening disease.
