John W. "Wink" Strickland is a long-time public servant and advocate for our region. A native of Homerville, he served as Chairman of the Clinch County Board of Commissioners from 1993 until 2008. Prior to being elected commissioner, he served on the Homerville City Council from 1982 until 1992.

A local businessman and blueberry farmer, Mr. Strickland is a Vietnam veteran. He and his wife, Nancy, a physician assistant, have been married for 40 years and have three children and three grandchildren.
