Since 2011, Mr. Randy Sauls has served as CEO of South Georgia Medical Center (SGMC) in Valdosta, a major founding partner and ongoing major supporter of the Cancer Coalition. A native of Tifton, Randy graduated from the paramedic program at Valdosta Tech and then received an Associate’s degree from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC). He continued his education at the University of Georgia where he received a Bachelor of Science and Master of Education. He also holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Albany State and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Randy began his hospital management career working at two different hospitals in Athens, followed by 14 years as assistant administrator at Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele. He was recruited by SGMC in 1995 where he became Chief Operating Officer in 2000. Randy is committed to the provision of high quality healthcare in our region as well as to professional education and local workforce development. Married to Denise, an RN, he has two adult daughters.
