The Cancer Coalition of South Georgia works in close partnership with the four cancer centers in our region. We work diligently to secure additional funding and other resources to enhance the services available at these centers. Examples of our support include: Providing high-tech communication equipment; bringing academic research opportunities; providing professional development; and providing patient education. Our Cancer Coalition is unable to provide cancer treatment, other direct patient care services, or individual financial aid. Instead, we refer individuals to the cancer centers for patient and family care services.

Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, one of the area's cancer centers, acts as the fiscal and human resource agent for Southwest Georgia Cancer Coalition employees.
